Your NAME IT  iron on labels
are
100% guaranteed.

1. Heat a standard iron, with temperature controls, to the COTTON setting.  Turn the steam OFF.  Switch to DRY.

2. Heat up the material first where the label will go. (Iron the garment to remove any moisture.)

3  Place your label and iron DIRECTLY on top of the label.

Important - Check the type of iron you have. Automatic irons (with no temperature control) are not suitable as they don't heat up enough.  Labels will look stuck but will not stay on through more than one wash.

Extra Tips
Kitchen Baking Paper
over the top of the label is helpful:
- if you are ironing onto wool or delicate fabrics
- if your iron does not have a teflon base and your labels stick to your iron and not the clothes.
- if your ink smudges or wrinkles.

Do not use a tea towel or ironing cloth as that will stop the heat going through to seal your label.

What is an auto iron or a smart iron? And why is it not suitable.

A "smart iron" usually has a dial with just numbers. They will not heat up enough to seal the labels. They are set by the manufacturer at a lower heat setting for safety.  Don't worry - there's not many on the market. Most basic irons are suitable.

OTHER GENERAL QUESTIONS

How long should I iron?

From 2 - 8 seconds. Depending on the thickness and type of fabric you are ironing.
Every iron is slightly different with its heat output so just iron them on, and after it's cooled, try to pick it off. If it comes away easily then you need more heat. Re-Iron. Always leave your label to cool down before washing - ideally 24 hours.

Why have my labels lifted after a few washes?
If any label lifts after a few washes it means the temperature of your iron, when you first ironed it, wasn't enough to activate the glue. Re-iron. Even a label from the bottom of the washing machine, can be re-applied successfully with correct heat.
