These iron on labels are built for the wear and tear of shared laundries — rest homes, boarding schools, camps and busy family homes. They're a soft cotton/polyester blend that irons on smoothly and holds up to repeated hot washing and drying.

Apply with a home iron on the cotton/linen setting. For delicate fabrics like wool, place a sheet of baking paper over the label while ironing to protect the fibres — avoid an ironing cloth or hanky, as these block the heat needed to bond the label.

Sizes

◆Standard – 50mm x 13mm: best for most names, printed in a clear bold font
◆Child – 35mm x 13mm: a shorter length suited to toddler clothing, short names, or a smaller label

Special requests

We can print in red, blue or green, though black is recommended for anything on a regular hot wash cycle. Ask for a different font in the comments box — we can match most fonts available in Microsoft Word. Sequential numbering is available for uniforms or inventory (e.g. 001–100 on the second line) at no extra charge, and you can add a second line for a phone number, room number, or allergy and alert information.

Ordering tips

Type the name exactly as you'd like it printed — CAPITALS or upper and lower case both work well. Use the optional second line for extra information, or leave it blank. Let us know in the comments if you'd prefer a smaller, non-bold font.

I would recommend the iron on labels without hesitation. So easy to apply and are very long lasting. I used them on my sons rugby jersey and general wear and tear from this has not affected the label at all.

Our mother-in-law (94) recently entered a rest home and we received a long list of items which had to be labelled. These iron-on name tags are just the thing. Easy to use, do not fall off and if they do ever start to peel, may be sown on at the ends. Excellent Product!!

So pleased I could find these labels for my grandchildren's school uniform just like I used them for their mother's. So easy to iron on, permanent and can place them anywhere.

Reliable product

I got these at relatively short notice when my daughter was starting preschool. The iron on labels are quick to put on and look tidy. I had one label half come off in the wash, but reironing seems to have fixed it. The sew on labels are a bit tricky to hand sew (slightly tough to get a needle through) but are also fine, and the instructions recommended using a sewing machine. They have someone available on LiveChat who was very friendly and informative, and she was happy to split orders between Iron On/Sew On, or two names of kids, which I really appreciate. I made a second order for additional tags because I'd found the first lot so useful and added in stickers for putting on drink bottles and lunch boxes - my daughter really likes that they come in different colours. The 'better than standard post' option got them here in reasonable time. I'm very happy with my purchases.

Why would you not use them?

I have used these iron on labels for years to put on my kids clothes. It makes finding school uniform so much easier amoungst all the discarded items and their is never any doubt as to who they belong to. They take only seconds to apply and stay put long after the child grows out of their clothing.
