These iron on labels are built for the wear and tear of shared laundries — rest homes, boarding schools, camps and busy family homes. They're a soft cotton/polyester blend that irons on smoothly and holds up to repeated hot washing and drying.

Apply with a home iron on the cotton/linen setting. For delicate fabrics like wool, place a sheet of baking paper over the label while ironing to protect the fibres — avoid an ironing cloth or hanky, as these block the heat needed to bond the label.

Sizes

◆Standard – 50mm x 13mm: best for most names, printed in a clear bold font
◆Child – 35mm x 13mm: a shorter length suited to toddler clothing, short names, or a smaller label

Special requests

We can print in red, blue or green, though black is recommended for anything on a regular hot wash cycle. Ask for a different font in the comments box — we can match most fonts available in Microsoft Word. Sequential numbering is available for uniforms or inventory (e.g. 001–100 on the second line) at no extra charge, and you can add a second line for a phone number, room number, or allergy and alert information.

Ordering tips

Type the name exactly as you'd like it printed — CAPITALS or upper and lower case both work well. Use the optional second line for extra information, or leave it blank. Let us know in the comments if you'd prefer a smaller, non-bold font.

Excellent

My husband has been in care for nearly two years and I have been using the iron on labels for all that time. His clothing is subjected to regular washes in industrial type machines, but I haven't had to replace one at all. This is the second time I have ordered the same labels. They arrived very quickly, especially seeing we were in the middle of the run-up to Christmas.

I was super impressed with the speed that the name tapes arrived, I like how they are cut individually. Easy to iron on and they stay on have already put a second order. Highly recommended these for families with a parent going into an aged care facility.

They Really Work!

Recently my mum has had to move into a permanent care facility. This meant that every item of her clothing had to be labelled. Friends who had been through the same experience had told me iron on labels did not stay on & I would have to hand stitch all the labels. This is a very labour intensive & time consuming job!! I went online to arrange to have some printed & saw the NameIt advert guaranteeing permanent adhesion. What did I have to lose? So I ordered, attached according to instructions & waited. The constant laundering has had no ill effect. All labels are as fastly attached as the day I did them. THANKS NAME-IT!!

We had to name my father's clothes when he moved into a rest home. We ordered the iron on labels through the easy to use website. They arrived within two days and were very easy and quick to iron onto the clothes. They are lasting well during washing too.
