These iron on labels are built for the wear and tear of shared laundries — rest homes, boarding schools, camps and busy family homes. They're a soft cotton/polyester blend that irons on smoothly and holds up to repeated hot washing and drying.

Apply with a home iron on the cotton/linen setting. For delicate fabrics like wool, place a sheet of baking paper over the label while ironing to protect the fibres — avoid an ironing cloth or hanky, as these block the heat needed to bond the label.

Sizes

◆Standard – 50mm x 13mm: best for most names, printed in a clear bold font
◆Child – 35mm x 13mm: a shorter length suited to toddler clothing, short names, or a smaller label

Special requests

We can print in red, blue or green, though black is recommended for anything on a regular hot wash cycle. Ask for a different font in the comments box — we can match most fonts available in Microsoft Word. Sequential numbering is available for uniforms or inventory (e.g. 001–100 on the second line) at no extra charge, and you can add a second line for a phone number, room number, or allergy and alert information.

Ordering tips

Type the name exactly as you'd like it printed — CAPITALS or upper and lower case both work well. Use the optional second line for extra information, or leave it blank. Let us know in the comments if you'd prefer a smaller, non-bold font.

My wife has been permanently confined to a private hospital for nearly five years. The hospital has its own laundry but it is essential to name every item of her clothes to ensure that it is returned. I have used your Iron On Labels to label every new item. Not one of the labels has parted company from any of the many types of material to which they have been attached. Other patients whose families have not been so cautious have lost many of their clothes. Large quantities of unidentified items have ended up being donated to local 'Opportunity shops'. This is a splendidly effective, simple to use, money-saving product .I highly recommend it. The on-line ordering service is also excellent and delivery is very quick.

I have purchased twice form Name it and cannot speak highly enough of both the quality of the labels and the service, which is second to none. The labels are easily attached and withstand washing very well. Service is excellent and despatch both times has been extremely prompt and I could not be happier with this company. if I need any more labels this is where I will be coming for them.
