These iron on labels are built for the wear and tear of shared laundries — rest homes, boarding schools, camps and busy family homes. They're a soft cotton/polyester blend that irons on smoothly and holds up to repeated hot washing and drying.

Apply with a home iron on the cotton/linen setting. For delicate fabrics like wool, place a sheet of baking paper over the label while ironing to protect the fibres — avoid an ironing cloth or hanky, as these block the heat needed to bond the label.

Sizes

◆Standard – 50mm x 13mm: best for most names, printed in a clear bold font
◆Child – 35mm x 13mm: a shorter length suited to toddler clothing, short names, or a smaller label

Special requests

We can print in red, blue or green, though black is recommended for anything on a regular hot wash cycle. Ask for a different font in the comments box — we can match most fonts available in Microsoft Word. Sequential numbering is available for uniforms or inventory (e.g. 001–100 on the second line) at no extra charge, and you can add a second line for a phone number, room number, or allergy and alert information.

Ordering tips

Type the name exactly as you'd like it printed — CAPITALS or upper and lower case both work well. Use the optional second line for extra information, or leave it blank. Let us know in the comments if you'd prefer a smaller, non-bold font.

What a saving

It's a mission keeping track of loved ones clothes once they reside in a Resthome. I had old fashioned sew on labels which took ages to sew on, the new iron labels are so easy to put on and very easy for laundry staff to read. Very fast and efficient service.

My two children attend boarding schools - initial name tags that I used came off when the clothes where washed in the commercial laundries that they have - I got the iron on labels and they have lasted the distance - labels are still on my boys clothes from 4 years ago - I do iron them on and then sew them on

top quality product have been buying these for 8 years!! great product. I use them for school socks, jerseys, shirts, shorts and take out the shoes innersole and iron on them to!! Have never lost any school uniform using them. well priced item

This is really good, it does exactly what it says it does, which is really what you need. Super easy to apply and they don't look like they'll come off. I disagree with another review about the baking paper not being big enough - for the children size labels it's absolutely plenty. I haven't seen how well they last in the wash yet, but they have gone on like a dream and I shall definitely be ordering more if they stand the regular washing.

My friend went online and found Name It - I was delighted to have these clear iron on labels when getting my mother's clothes ready for moving into a rest home. Easy to use, quicker than sewing.
